Dental Hygienist Alexandria, Virginia Pay From: $35 per hour MUST: Experienced Dental Hygienist Must be registered as a Dental Hygienist Must be licensed to work as a Dental Hygienist in Virginia Must have a minimum of an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene Must have an active CPR DUTIES: Dental Hygienist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Counselling patients and keeping them calm during examination and treatment Screening patients, including conducting mouth and neck examinations and reviewing oral health history Educating patients on proper teeth and gum care Taking X-rays and developing dental impressions and radiographs of teeth Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment Removing plaque, cleaning teeth and helping to prevent gum disease Supporting the Dentist on all aspects of dental care Staying current with the latest developments in dentistry Collecting medical and dental histories from patients Charting dental conditions based on observations and evaluations Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
