A friendly and fast-paced pediatric dental office in Brooklyn is seeking a Dental Receptionist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of the practice, supporting smooth front desk operations and ensuring a positive experience for the young patients and their families.
Responsibilities:- Greet patients and families with a warm and professional attitude
- Answer phones, manage patient inquiries, and schedule appointments
- Verify insurance details and patient information before visits
- Maintain and update patient records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Handle appointment reminders, confirmations, and rescheduling
- Process payments and assist with basic billing tasks
- Communicate effectively with dental staff regarding patient needs and scheduling
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly front desk area
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
- Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred
- Open to working at a secondary location in Long Island once a week (travel reimbursement provided)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable interacting with children and families
- Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to travel to Hewlett once a week
