Design Support Engineer at DSM-H LLC

Typical task breakdown: - CAD design and detailing - Teardown follow-up and analysis - Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices. - Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects. - Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crew. - Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software. Interaction with team: - Weekly / Daily meetings Work environment: - Strong collaboration Education & Experience Required: - Years of experience: 5-7 years total engineering experience; 3-5 years of detailing experience - Degree requirement: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required - Do you accept internships as job experience: If applicable Technical Skills (Required) - Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD). - CAD Detailing - Excel computation - Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. - Experience with Teamcenter and Creo (Desired) - Previous Client experience (1E spec’s etc) - FEA analysis - EM/Thermal motor analysis - CFD analysis - Rotating component/structural design background Soft Skills (Required) - Strong communicator, both verbal and written - Heavy initiative - Analytical and problem solving ability. - Team player and detail oriented.
