As the Director of Cath Lab, you will support Banne Fort Collins Medical Center and North Colorado Medical Center. This is a fast-paced position where you will be leading a high-performing, experienced team. In this role you will continually provide clinical, financial, and personnel leadership. Teamwork is strong in this department! As a leader in the Cath Lab, you will manage daily operations, scheduling, supply management and vendors.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position develops and implements strategies for the clinical care of a defined group of patient care/clinical area for multiple facilities within Northern Colorado. May also have responsibility for non-clinical functions related to the clinical area(s). Plans and implements vision for patient care to ensure quality outcomes and a high degree of patient, physician and employee satisfaction.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Develops strategies and growth initiatives that lead to outcomes supportive and synergistic with facility and organizational plans. Actively collaborates with peers across the organization to achieve goals. Accountable for results and involves and is supportive of appropriate staff needed to achieve goals.
2. Provides leadership to department and sets quality performance expectations that promote retention, safety, growth, and clinical excellence within and across departments.
3. Manages department financial and capital budgets by monitoring operating revenue and expenses. Establishes and maintains cost control measures to ensure alignment to budget. Researches need for future resources and technology based on business patterns and growth.
4. Drives change by leading system or facility initiative teams that support strategic plans for growth and development.
5. Assures the development of staff leadership through the design of effective shared leadership models and supporting career advancement opportunities. Functions as a role model and encourages staff to participate in their own development.
6. Leads the provision of care through the design of care delivery models and by establishing standards of care. Assures quality and safety in patient care practices by involving staff in process improvement and reporting to create best practices for patient care. Continually assess patient satisfaction and improvement opportunities as measured by survey tools.
7. Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention. Demonstrates leadership through coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and development opportunities to create a culture of learning.
8. Responsible for the function and strategic development of a clinical department for multiple facilities within the Northern Colorado area. Accountable for clinical outcomes and ensuring clinical excellence. Coordinates services with other leaders and administrators to achieve goals. Internal customers include facility and system management, staff, and physicians. External customers include patients, families and regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a strong knowledge of healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a master’s degree in healthcare administration or related field.
Must possess significant knowledge of healthcare operations and leadership typically achieved with 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience. Must have considerable experience with patient population in the area of responsibility. Requires demonstrated experience leading and/or managing strategic clinical operations. Requires strong written and oral communication skills. Must demonstrate strong decision-making and critical thinking skills along with the ability to lead change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/licensure related to area of patient care preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
