Minimum and Additional Requirements
This position requires a bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree plus four (4) years relevant program experience in horticulture, landscaping, plant operations, and custodial operations as well as supervisory experience. Must possess a valid SC driver's license.
Preferred QualificationsIn alignment with the Vice President for Operations' broad policy and guidance, this role requires the initiative to continuously improve departmental processes and performance, ensuring consistency with overall management objectives. Candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of management principles, facilities operations, and program oversight, with tangible experience in janitorial and landscaping services. Strong leadership abilities, with experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance management. Proficiency with software for data tracking, analytics dashboards, and budget management. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present to staff and senior leadership. Physical ability to conduct site inspections and respond to emergency situations. Successful candidate will support program operations and ensure continuous departmental function. The position involves travel between campuses and sites, as well as the physical ability to conduct site inspections. Availability for emergency response is required 24 hours a day, including rotational on-call duties on weekends and support before, during, and after severe weather or other emergencies.
