TheOperations Director provides leadership and guidance for DCoperational functions such as Transportation, Warehousing,facilities management, building layout, racking and systems,inventory management, and quality assurance. They plan, organize,manage, and support the projects and activities required for the DCwith the training, tools, facilities and equipment necessary tosupport growth, QA compliance and continuous improvement towardsproductivity and service levels.

What you'll doas a Director of Operations II:
- Participate in thedevelopment of overall business planning and supply chain planningstrategies and develop explicit goals and strategies closely linkedto the overall business planning and supply chain process.
- Coordinate with Corporate Operations Supportstaff on strategies to improve service levels and Key PerformanceIndicators (KPIs).
- Provide leadership for theTransportation and Warehouse departments.
- Communicate the status of activities andresults on an ongoing basis. Ensure all affected location andfunctional interests are represented and addressed;develop/recommend alterations to procedures and best practiceswhere warranted.
- Understand, articulate, andexecute all QA criterion set forth in supply chain processes.
- This position has additional duties. Specialprojects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.
Qualifications you'llbring as a Director of Operations II:
- 3+ Have a bachelor'sdegree in Logistics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in allfacets of the foodservice distribution Industry, preferably in theQSR sector.
- Accounting, planning, andanalytical experience is required.
- Preferredexperience with AS/400 systems, JDE, EXCEL, Microsoft Word, andAccess programs; XATA, PeopleNet or similar programs.
- Have a detailed understanding of financialstatements and resulting cost implications.
- Beable to identify financial issues and provide cost effectivesolutions.
- Be able to use IT systems togenerate and evaluate key performance data.
- Have experience with multi-shift, 6- to 7-dayoperations.
- Have management experience withlarge DC and driver workforces (200+).
- Abilityto cultivate and manage relationships with customers (100+,comprising 1,000-2,000 stores) and maintain high visibility withmajor customers, co-ops, and corporate customers.
- This position requires the ability to read,write, and understand English at a level sufficient to performjob-related tasks effectively and safely. This includesunderstanding work instructions, safety protocols, andcommunications essential to the role. The requirement is directlyrelated to the nature of the job and ensures compliance withworkplace safety and operationalstandards.
