Loan forgiveness and tuition reimbursement programs are available.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, implement, and monitor revenue cycle-specific reporting with key performance indicators.Ensure compliance with all state and federal billing and reimbursement requirements.Collaborate with the CFO and department managers to identify workflow issues, analyze performance, and propose effective solutions.Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of information flow between clinical and financial systems.Lead the evaluation and development of business plans for strategic revenue cycle initiatives. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEMinimum bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business is preferred.10+ years of experience in hospital revenue cycle operations, including 3-5 years at a management level.Proficient in billing, collections, and customer service practices within healthcare.Strong knowledge of state and federal guidelines, reimbursement requirements, and regulatory mandates.Demonstrated experience with revenue cycle technologies and systems optimization.Experience with budgeting and forecasting in a healthcare environment.Physical Requirements: Light physical demands; some stooping, bending, and occasional lifting may be necessary.ENVIRONMENTSouth Peninsula Hospital is a 22-bed critical access hospital (CAH) with a 28-bed long term care facility and a 9 bed Emergency department that operates 24 hours per day. The hospital is located on the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula. The position requires a moderate amount of mobility. The ability to perform critical thinking, communicate effectively, and possess basic manual dexterity is essential. Physical demands are moderate and may include standing or sitting for prolonged periods, walking, stooping and occasional lifting. The emotional intelligence demands of the position are high. Most work is performed indoors; however, the locations overseen by this position will require some in-town travel.At South Peninsula Hospital, we are more than just a hospital.
