Position Title:Director of University and Workplace Banking

Reports to:Chief Consumer Banking Officer
Position Overview:
The Director of University and Workplace Banking is responsible for developing and executing a unified strategy to expand the bank's presence and deepen relationships within both corporate workplaces and higher education institutions. This role leads a team of specialists focused on acquiring new consumer households, enhancing financial wellness, and building long-term partnerships with employers and universities. The Director will drive innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and measurable growth in customer acquisition and engagement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead strategic initiatives integrating University and Workplace Banking with FNB goals. Identify and prioritize target institutions and industries for partnerships. Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across retail, wholesale, product, marketing, digital, HR, and operations to deliver innovative segment solutions.
Develop and manage strategic partnerships with employers, universities, and campus groups. Oversee agreements for on-site presence, co-branded efforts, and sponsorships. Act as the main liaison to ensure partner alignment and service excellence.
Oversee university and workplace banking products, including student accounts and financial literacy programs. Develop marketing materials, track business opportunities, monitor usage and feedback, and ensure compliance with partnership regulations.
Build and lead a high-performing University Banking team, including relationship managers, campus ambassadors, and support staff. Oversee and optimize performance and execution of Workplace Banking Manager and workplace banking specialists. Set performance goals, provide ongoing training, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
Work with marketing to create campaigns that engage students and university stakeholders. Support initiatives to drive volume, profitability, and performance through data-driven insights. Represent the bank at campus events and forums to enhance brand visibility and build trust.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as account growth, deposit volume, customer retention, and partner satisfaction. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize resource allocation.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
