About the role:

The director of branch experience is the connector between vision and execution, ensuring the credit union's bold dreams are fully realized through the leadership of branch people leaders. This leader champions the Member Engagement Manifesto by inspiring, guiding, and empowering branch people leaders to consistently deliver excellence all the way through the final mile.

They remove barriers, create clarity, and cultivate a culture where the success of members and the growth of teams are equally celebrated. By walking with leaders through both light and dark moments, the director positions the credit union as a trusted partner for life with a commitment to creating joy and igniting Michiganders' impossible dreams.

This position has a starting annual rate of $115,500, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferable skills.


A Day in the life of a Director/Branch Experience can look like:

  • Guide branch people leaders in bringing strategy to life.

Ensure organizational priorities and the Member Engagement Manifesto are translated into consistent branch practices that deliver extraordinary member experiences.

  • Lead and empower branch people leaders.

Provide coaching, mentorship, and accountability, building their confidence and capability to lead their teams with clarity, care, and excellence.

  • Ensure consistency of member experience.

Monitor and reinforce standards so that members encounter extraordinary experiences that are grounded in trust, belonging, and support, no matter which branch they visit.

  • Champion culture and employee experience.

Foster a culture where growth, collaboration, and Huzzahs are prioritized, ensuring branch people leaders model the tone and values of the organization.

  • Drive operational excellence and compliance.

Ensure branches maintain adherence to all policies, cash controls, security procedures, and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating risk.

  • Perform other duties assigned by leadership.


What you bring to the table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in leadership and people development
  • Understanding of local business climate and involvement in the local business community.
  • Proficiency using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
