Job Summary: A dishwasher's job is to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cookware in a kitchen, and to keep the kitchen clean and organized:
- Dishwashing: Wash, scrub, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Sort dishes into categories, spray them down, and either scrub them by hand or put them in a dishwasher.
- Kitchen maintenance: Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and free of clutter. Sweep and mop floors, empty trash containers, and bus tables.
- Equipment operation: Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment, including adjusting temperature controls and adding cleaning solution.
- Organization: Set up dish stations, including sinks and dishwashing machines.
- Sanitation: Follow sanitation procedures and health and safety standards.
- Teamwork: Work with other employees, supervisors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Training: Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
- Must be 16+ and have access to reliable transportation
They may need to be able to stand for several hours, lift and carry heavy items, and work in environments with extreme temperatures, loud noises, and other hazards.
