Drafter at Defense Search

Manufacturer of hospitality furniture has an immediate opening for a drafter. Qualified candidate will be responsible for taking products and projects from drawings to complete 3D design using Inventor and AutoCAD. Qualified candidate must have experience working in a furniture, wood working environment and must have working knowledge of Autodesk, AutoCAD basic job functions. Entry Qualifications: • Autodesk, AutoCAD--must have knowledge of advanced AutoCAD (client is currently running 2016 and 2017) • Preferable knowledge of Autodesk Inventor Pro • Desirable experience in woodwork, millwork fixtures and seating • Knowledge of CNC will be a plus • A creative approach for generating new ideas • A good knowledge of how to use Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel • An excellent grasp of engineering & design principles • Excellent communication skills • An understanding of manufacturing processes & construction methods • Good team working skills • Good mechanical aptitude & knowledge • Self-motivated & highly organized • Spanish bilingual would be a plus Essential Functions: • High School Diploma with college prep classes/training on Inventor Software • Minimum of 2 years drafting certificate from Technical College or an associate's degree, a plus • Minimum of 2 years layout drafting experience, a plus • Basic understanding of engineering principles Pay $24.00-$28.00 per hour.
