EHS Manager

Position Overview
The EHS Manager will oversee the Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and to promote a safe workplace. This role is essential in driving initiatives that improve workplace safety and environmental performance within the manufacturing facility, particularly in the metals industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Lead training sessions for employees on EHS best practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on relevant EHS regulations and industry trends, ensuring the company is compliant with all applicable laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS best practices.
  • Experience in the metals industry, particularly in manufacturing/industrial processes like tubing and welding is preferred but not required.
  • Certification as a Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) or similar is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively engage all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
