EHS/HSE, Environmental, Health and Safety Manager
- Direct Hire/Perm - HANDS ON, and ON-SITE ( not remote/hybrid options at this time)
- CA Central Valley - Lathrop/Manteca area
Join a dynamic organization as a strategic leader overseeing all aspects of workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk mitigation. This role ensures operational integrity through proactive planning, rigorous oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Day to day responsibilities include:
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across facilities to identify potential safety and environmental hazards - Design and implement organization-wide safety protocols tailored to departmental needs
- Develop emergency response strategies, including fire prevention and hazardous material containment
- Oversee documentation systems for chemical safety and ensure real-time accessibility
- Establish inspection frameworks and enforce routine audits to meet regulatory standards
- Lead hands-on training programs covering equipment safety, fall protection, emergency drills, and more
- Maintain records related to waste management, emissions, and water discharge in alignment with environmental mandates
- Stay ahead of evolving regulations through continuous learning and industry engagement
- Supervise personnel responsible for injury claims, first aid response, and site security
- Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies and represent the organization during official inspections
- Administer budgets for safety operations and security infrastructure
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership in occupational safety or environmental health roles
- Strong grasp of regulatory frameworks and compliance strategies
- Skilled in policy development, incident reporting, and risk analytics
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and strong observational skills
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and educate across teams, gain traction on training programs, buy-in, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; advanced certifications or graduate education preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and reporting systems
- HACCP, Food Safety Experience, any similar exposure in a food processing, manufacturing, packaging environment is a PLUS
- Proficient in digital tools for documentation and analysis
- Capable of conducting site walkthroughs in diverse environments
