Electric Department Director Greenwood CPW (Greenwood, SC)
Lead the team that powers a vibrant community. Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works (CPW) seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to direct our Electric Department serving 12,500+ customers across six distribution substations and 24 circuits. What youll do: Provide technical leadership on system improvements; analyze system performance and reliability; prepare and review engineering calculations; negotiate joint-use and related agreements; oversee two operational supervisors and two Field & SCADA Technicians; support company-wide communications systems; and build strong cross-department and community relationships.
What youll bring: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (PE in South Carolina preferred); 57 years of progressively responsible experience in public utilities or a related field; proven administrative and technical leadership; strong grasp of electric power fundamentals; and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
