Job Description

We are seeking dedicated electrical apprentices to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals who have some formal education in electrical studies and can provide school certificates. While hands-on experience in the electrical trade is not required, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to earn on-the-job hours necessary for obtaining a Journeyman (JM) Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist with conduit installation and wiring tasks.
• Interpret and follow blueprints accurately.
• Perform general labor and use hand tools effectively.
• Participate in troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Learn and apply skills in bending conduit and pulling wires.

Essential Skills

• Ability to interpret and follow blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools and general labor tasks.
• Understanding of conduit installation and wiring techniques.
• Troubleshooting skills for electrical systems.
• Ability to bend conduit and pull wires.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be punctual and committed to working full shifts.
• School certificates in electrical studies are required.
• Possession of OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a significant advantage.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors, so you must be comfortable with all weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as boots, hard hats, gloves, vests, and glasses are required. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7am to 3pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
