Light Fixture Assembly wanted in North Miami & Hallandale beach area.

We are a Lighting manufacturer in Miami. We need to hire a full-time Light Fixture Assembler immediately. The location will be from our North Miami warehouse. 

About Company

  • In business for over 10 years
  • We manufacture our own glass & metal canopies in Miami. We turn glass into art lighting.
  • We build the chandeliers according to the customer’s space.

 Job Brief:

Seeking a hard-working Light Fixture Assembler who understands some electrical work which has experience working with wires and hand tools. The job includes wiring chandeliers, splicing wires, connecting wires, building boxes, Some handyman work experience like painting, drywall repair, hand tools and power tools experience a plus. Working with measurements. We periodically install and change chandeliers in our showroom. We periodically refresh the showroom by painting certain walls and patching certain holes. Someone who is responsible and wants to work and grow in the company.

To do well in this position, you should be mechanically skilled enough to use hand tools in whatever ways your tasks for the day require you to do, hand and eye coordination and endurance.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Building chandeliers in our studio which includes electrical work, wiring, splicing.
  • Read and understand complex manuals, drawings, and schematics
  • Precisely measure components to ensure fit
  • Modify components to meet required specifications
  • Put parts together to create more complex pieces
  • Maintain a high level of quality control
  • Keep detailed records 
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in working condition
  • Report on any equipment issues or defective parts 
  • Painting in the showroom & warehouse when needed
  • Able to assemble company furniture.
  • Fixing things around the warehouse and showroom
  • Knows how to Calculate measurements.
  • Renovating & refreshing rooms in the warehouse by sanding & painting when needed
  • Organizing boxes in the warehouse & organizing the warehouse.
  • Traveling to pick up orders from different suppliers locally using company van. 
  • Managing different tasks simultaneously
  • Quickly responding to new projects being manufactured
  • Packing glass products with common sense to avoid breakage.
  • Building wooden crates to transport chandeliers.
  • Maintaining a clean environment in the warehouse

Money Talk

  • Salary job will be paid on a Bi-weekly basis by direct deposit through ADP.
  • Full time job
  • Starting Salary is $660 per week. ($16.50 HR)
  • Benefits: Paid National & Jewish Holidays after 90 days with the company
  • Benefits: paid sick days per year after 1 year with the company
  • Benefits: PTO days after the first year of work + Holiday pay. 
  • Benefits: Additional increase in PTO days the second year of work + Holiday pay.

 Days & time operating hour schedule

  • Monday – Thursday – 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Friday – 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • Lunch time: 45min
  • Total Hours per week = 40 hours
