IFP Automation is growing fast — and we’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to design the electrical control panels that drive world-class automation systems.
This position is based at our newly expanded UL 508A certified manufacturing center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You’ll work closely with our design and fabrication teams while also occasionally supporting Sales Engineers in the field — engaging with customers directly and seeing how your designs power their success.
What You’ll DoDesign industrial control panels with AutoCAD Electrical
Handle equipment selection, BOMs, schematics, and compliance
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, vendors, and customers
Support testing and commissioning (in-house + on-site)
Occasionally partner with Sales Engineers to provide customer-facing technical support
3+ years in industrial control panel design
Strong AutoCAD Electrical skills
Experience with VFDs, relays, instrumentation, and networking
Degree in EE, EET, or related field
Bonus Points for: UL 508A knowledge, hazardous location experience, and industrial communication protocols.
