Job Description
Electrical Engineer (Project Coordination - MEP Revit) at Norfolk, VA (Onsite role) Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience: 10+ years Responsibilities: Experience with infrastructure projects (transportation, utilities, water/wastewater facilities)- design and development of electrical systems for buildings, infrastructure, and utility projects (power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, etc.). Exposure to BIM workflows. Experience working in a consulting engineering environment. Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and equipment sizing. Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with US codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, structural, architectural, civil) for design coordination. Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project coordination sessions. Actively identify opportunities for expanding TAAL Tech’s engagement with the client. Build strong relationships with client stakeholders to position TAAL Tech as a trusted engineering partner. Support leadership in developing strategies to grow the onsite and offshore electrical engineering team. Serve as the primary point of contact between client engineers and TAAL Tech’s offshore/back-office team. Proactively communicate project requirements, technical clarifications, and client expectations to the offshore team. Ensure smooth workflow management by channelizing design and documentation tasks to TAAL Tech’s back office. Monitor task progress, resolve technical queries, and ensure deliverables meet client standards and timelines. Facilitate daily/weekly coordination meetings to align onsite and offshore teams. Provide feedback to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance quality of outsourced deliverables. Contribute to proposals, presentations, and client discussions to secure additional work. Mentor junior engineers and help create a sustainable talent pipeline for long-term project delivery. Provide inputs on resource planning, training needs, and knowledge-sharing to strengthen the team’s capabilities. Must Have: Must hold valid work authorization for USA. Prior experience working on coordination for projects/clients is an advantage. Experience with infrastructure projects (transportation, utilities, water/wastewater facilities.
