Essential Functions

Summary:
The Electrical Panel Assembler plays a vital role in assembling and wiring mechanical and electrical components for backup power systems. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this position involves interpreting schematics and specifications to install electrical raceways, conduit, wire ways, and cable ways. This hands-on role ensures the safe and efficient build of high-quality electrical panels that support critical power infrastructure.
 

Accountabilities:
  • Assemble and wire mechanical and electrical components per instructions, specifications, and schematics.
  • Layout and install electrical raceways, conduit, wire ways, and cable ways.
  • Interpret and follow electrical schematics and layout drawings.
  • Coordinate with team members, lead supervisors, and management to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
  • Report safety hazards and near misses to promote a safe workplace.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and suggest process enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the electrical assembly team.

Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 13 years of experience in an industrial or construction setting.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in electrical panel assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings. (Preferred)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. (Preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and safety standards.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Primarily based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, or crouch for 810 hours per day.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle tools and components.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs (following OSHA standards).
  • Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
