GTI specializes in the design, engineering, fabrication, and deployment of custom modular structures, shipping container-based structures, and ballistic metal fabrication. We serve multiple industries, including DOD contractors, military, disaster relief, and commercial markets. Our containerized and modular solutions are all built in-house at our factory in Buffalo, NY. Manufacturing capabilities range from military training, live fire enclosures, bathroom/shower units, expeditionary camps, medical facilities, water treatment, electrical/energy storage enclosures, and much more.


The GTI team consists of professionals spanning from fabrication and engineering to government and military specialists. Our combination of expertise allows us to provide top quality solutions and customer service for various industries and missions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
  • Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
  • Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
  • Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
  • Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
  • Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school preferred
  • 3-5 years of electrical experience required
  • Experience bending EMT pipe up to 1 ¼ “ required
  • Experience working with 120/208 voltage to 277/480 voltage preferred
  • Experience with low voltage wiring preferred
  • Experience with telecommunications systems preferred
  • Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
  • Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
  • Valid driver's license in state of practice
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
  • Willing to work overtime
