Jakes Fireworks is a leading distributor of consumer fireworks, operating across the United States with multiple distribution centers and retail locations. We are looking for an Assistant Electrician to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Pittsburg, Kansas.

The Assistant Electrician will assist in electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance throughout our facility. This role will work under the guidance of the Lead Electrician to ensure all electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently.

• Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify electrical issues.
• Support troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Work with the maintenance team on facility and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in electrical work preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with electrical tools, wiring, and industry safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor, outdoor, warehouse settings).
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team.

• Electrical Apprentice License or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with industrial or commercial electrical work.
