Job Description

This is a hybrid role in the Raleigh-Durham Area and no relocation assistance is available. Main Duties & Responsibilities - Engage with clients to understand and evaluate their advanced health and life coverage requirements. - Craft tailored insurance programs that align with client goals—ranging from business group benefits to individual life coverage options. - Examine usage data and claims information sourced from providers and third-party vendors; synthesize findings into actionable insights for client presentations. - Analyze current insurance arrangements and suggest updates based on evolving business needs or shifts within the regulatory and benefits landscape. - Support clients throughout the claims journey—clarifying coverage details and ensuring accurate and timely filing. - Guide clients in making informed benefits decisions using reporting, analytics, and financial modeling designed to assess plan performance and cost implications. - Deliver comprehensive plan recommendations that include competitive pricing, detailed breakdowns of inclusions and exclusions, and premium comparisons. - Ensure all client interactions and proposals adhere to applicable legal and regulatory standards at the local, state, and federal level. - Oversee accurate completion and prompt processing of all necessary paperwork—including applications, renewals, and any policy modifications. - Foster and sustain lasting partnerships by offering continuous advisory and service support across the policy lifecycle. - Proactively check in with clients to reassess needs and update benefit strategies as circumstances evolve. - Maintain an up-to-date understanding of benefits vendors and industry capabilities. - Provide modeling and data-backed reporting tools to help clients anticipate and manage financial exposure within their benefits offerings. Skills & Requirements: - 2+ years of experience designing, advising on, and implementing health plan strategies for clients with complex coverage requirements. - Bachelors degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or Data Analytics is strongly preferred. - Experience leveraging analytical tools to develop solutions that enhance benefits value and cost-efficiency. - Valid Life and Health Insurance license (or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of employment). - Familiarity with a wide array of insurance solutions and market trends. - Demonstrated ability to articulate and position organizational strengths in competitive client-facing environments. - Strong financial acumen, with capabilities in strategic planning, data interpretation, and consultative communication. - Proven record of driving both new business and long-term client loyalty. - Background in underwriting or exposure to evaluating policy risk is considered an asset. tags: employee benefits account manager, eb account manager, eb consultant
