Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Leader to join our growing team in San Antonio, TX! The Employee Benefits Leader will drive a culture of success through client retention, new business, efficient processes, and team member engagement while maintaining positive operating margins for the Employee Benefits department. How You Will Contribute : Establish, direct and monitor sales, marketing and client services department goals and objectives that are in alignment with the office strategy and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Regularly evaluate and identify short term and long-term department recruitment needs and strategies to retain top talent. Develop an onboarding curriculum for new team members to ensure successful acclimation to the office and clear understanding of the defined processes and procedures. Identify areas of inefficiencies and develop ongoing training plans for team members incorporating the use of internal and external resources. Supervise, train, and develop the capabilities of the team in a manner that enhances the office's image and level of service to clients and companies. Establish, maintain, and cultivate strong relationships with carrier and industry partners to increase opportunities and maximize contingencies, as it relates to optimizing products and services. Review and prepare monthly analyses to measure progress in achieving office objectives. Ensure that systems, procedures, and insurance company regulations are adhered to through efficient processes. Promote collaboration between the sales and service departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience and improve efficiencies and streamline processes. Maximize use of the agency management system and technology through regular training and the ongoing research / solicitation of advanced software products. Build a network of enterprise-wide peers; collaborate best practices. Responsible for meeting budgeted growth goals and operating margins for the departments. Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office. Promote a commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards. Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing. All other duties as assigned. Licenses and Certifications: Valid Health and Life Insurance Producers License. Skills & Experience to b e Successful: College Degree in a business-related field. 10+ years' experience in all aspects of Employee Benefits including agency management experience. 10+ years' experience operating in a leadership capacity. Knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted. Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.
