About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Employment Attorney with at least 5 years of experience counseling employers on workplace matters and handling employment-related transactions and compliance issues. This attorney will work directly with clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including policy development, employment agreements, internal investigations, and risk mitigation strategies.

This attorney will work directly with clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including policy development, employment agreements, internal investigations, and risk mitigation strategies.
This hybrid position offers flexibility with a mix of in-office and remote work. You'll be part of a collegial and dynamic team serving sophisticated clients across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on a broad spectrum of workplace matters including hiring, discipline, terminations, wage and hour compliance, and employee classifications
- Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, including offer letters, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants
- Conduct and oversee internal investigations and audits
- Provide guidance on employment policies and compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Support M&A transactions with employment diligence and integration strategies
- Defend employers in administrative proceedings (EEOC, IDHR, etc.), as needed
- Partner closely with clients to offer proactive legal strategies and risk management
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active license to practice in Illinois
- 5+ years of employment law experience, preferably representing employers
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client counseling skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Litigation experience is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary starting at $140,000, commensurate with experience
