About the Role
We’re seeking a talented Employment Law Associate to join our growing team in Seattle. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with innovative, fast-growing companies and handle a wide range of complex employment law matters. The ideal candidate will bring sharp analytical skills, sound judgment, and a passion for solving challenging workplace issues.
Key Responsibilities- Represent employers in employment law disputes, including trade secret and non-compete litigation
- Provide day-to-day counseling to clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Draft, review, and refine employment agreements, policies, and handbooks
- Conduct internal investigations and advise on a range of workforce management issues
- Support corporate transactions by advising on employment-related aspects and due diligence
Requirements
- Education: J.D. from a top-tier law school with an outstanding academic record
- Bar Admission: Active membership in the Washington State Bar, in good standing
- Experience: 2–3 years of substantive experience in management-side employment law, including both litigation and counseling
- Expertise: Proven ability to handle matters involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and other employment-related litigation
- Advisory Skills: Experience counseling employers on terminations, leaves of absence, internal investigations, reductions in force, and employment policies
- Preferred Background: Familiarity with employment issues in M&A and other corporate transactions
- Soft Skills: Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Work Style: Commitment to in-person collaboration in our Seattle office
