Engineering Services Field Technician at Matergenics

Perform general construction tasks involving physical labor for underground corrosion inspection and coating projects at electric utility pole sites. The majority of tasks involved include manual excavating of soil and vegetation clearing around selected test sites at various telecommunication towers in the state of Ohio. Overnight travel is required and all travel related expenses will be paid by the company. A daily per diem for meals will be provided at a rate of $52 per day. This position may also involve assisting technicians and engineers with test setups, photographing and recording of test data. Specific Tasks Involved – The position involves but is not limited to the following tasks:  Excavation of soil (2 feet deep x 2 feet wide) around structure members utilizing hand and power tools  Restoration of project site to original or better condition utilizing hand and power tools, this includes backfilling of excavated areas and compacting the soil  Assisting with loading and unloading light equipment and supplies  Assist technicians and engineers with field testing and recording of data as needed
