Title: Panel Design Engineer
Location: Lombard, IL
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
Founded in 2008, we specialize in industrial automation solutions for manufacturing, food processing, and energy clients. We design and integrate control systems that drive efficiency and precision. As a Panel Design Engineer, you'll contribute to the design of custom control panels from concept to production.
We are seeking a college graduate with an engineering degree who is looking to take the first step in their career.
Job Description
- Design and develop electrical control panels using AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to define panel specifications and requirements.
- Create detailed schematics, layout drawings, and bills of materials.
- Ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC, and other relevant standards.
- Support panel assembly, testing, and troubleshooting during production and commissioning.
Must-Have Skill Set
- Experience with CAD. We use AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN for panel design.
- Some understanding of electrical components, wiring, and industrial control systems.
- Willingness to learn UL508A standards and NEC regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for cross-functional collaboration.
