Environmental Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing solutions to environmental problems, assessing the impact of construction projects on the environment, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This role is essential in promoting sustainability and protecting natural resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and site investigations to evaluate environmental conditions.
- Develop and implement environmental remediation plans.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data analysis and mapping.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on environmental projects and initiatives.
- Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
- Monitor environmental impact and effectiveness of remediation efforts.
- Provide technical support in the areas of soil science and environmental assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- 4 plus years experience in environmental compliance
- A working knowledge of the conditions and environmental requirements in the Northern CA and Southern, OR regions.
- EIT Certification
- Ability and intention to sit for the CA PR exam within less than a year of hire.
- Strong knowledge of soil science and environmental regulations.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Proven experience in environmental remediation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
