Responsibilities:

  • Examines damaged vehicle to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage
  • Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item
  • Reviews repair cost estimates with the body shop manager
  • Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors
  • Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:

  • High school graduate or GED
  • At least two years of body shop experience
  • Understanding of basic automotive components and systems
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle repair process
  • Complete knowledge of insurance claims procedure
  • Valid driver’s license
