Responsibilities:
- Examines damaged vehicle to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage
- Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item
- Reviews repair cost estimates with the body shop manager
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors
- Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations
IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:
- High school graduate or GED
- At least two years of body shop experience
- Understanding of basic automotive components and systems
- Thorough understanding of vehicle repair process
- Complete knowledge of insurance claims procedure
- Valid driver’s license
