Event Space Set-Up Associate at Carlisle Inn Sarasota

Carlisle Inn in Sarasota is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our Conference Center team. The Set-Up Associate is responsible for setting up meeting rooms and event space according to diagrams provided by the hotel Sales & Event Coordinator. The set-up individual is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring all guests experience exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and tear down tables, chairs, staging, and equipment according to event diagrams and schedules.
2. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of all meeting and banquet areas.
3. Assist with audio-visual and lighting equipment as needed.
4. Ensure all supplies and equipment are stored properly after each event.
5. Provide excellent customer service to guests and fellow team members.
6. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
2. Ability to comprehend and execute instructions from the Group Sales/Event Coordinator. 
3. Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods.
4. Able to lift, bend, pull and move furniture 
5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
6. Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
7. Previous experience in event set-up or hospitality preferred, but not required—training provided.
8. Able to work independently. 

Education and Experience:  

1. High School Diploma,  
2. Previous experience with event se-up preferred. 
3. Must be at least 18 years of age.
