The Events Department at Major Food Group is seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator. This role will specifically support Major Food Group’s Miami properties, currently: Carbone Miami, HaSalon, Carbone Vino, Sadelle’s, Chateau ZZ’s, Dirty French Steakhouse, ZZ’s Club, and Contessa.


RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Provide administrative support to the Events Team, including but not limited to:
    • Creating BEOs & distributing them to the BOH & FOH managerial teams.
    • Coordinating final details for social events.
    • Creating printed menus and place cards.
    • Assisting with answering leads for social events.
    • Liaise with chefs to update event menus as needed.
  • Assist in organizing the logistical details of social events, including but not limited to:
    • Collecting vendor COIs.
    • Scheduling security, professional movers, etc.
    • Placing rental orders.
    • Creating floor plans.
    • Answering questions about the space, measurements, inventory, timing, etc.
    • Conducting follow up site visits with vendors and clients. 
  • Oversee the setup and execution of social events at the properties listed above. 
  • Responsible for understanding ins & outs of building operations including deliveries, event inventory, load-in and load-out, service timing, furniture inventory, room dimensions & capabilities, china, flatware & glassware inventories, etc.
  • Have an understanding of the details, schedule, menu & overall plan for upcoming events; be able to speak confidently with the FOH & BOH managerial teams about the details of upcoming events.
  • Follow and ensure compliance of all Major Food Group policies and standard operating procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Act as an ambassador to Major Food Group Culture
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience, either in events of offsite catering
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in providing administrative support in an office setting
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Suite, preferred
  • Experience working with event management platforms, such as TripleSeat, preferred
  • Experience using AllSeated, InDesign, Broadway Party Rental & Party Rental Ltd., preferred
