Job Description

Job Title: Event Sales Manager (Restaurant & Private Events)

Position Overview

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through the sale and coordination of private dining events, large parties, and full venue buyouts. This role focuses on cultivating new event business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring the flawless execution of all events to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for exceptional service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for private dining, group bookings, and full buyouts.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local organizations.

  • Respond promptly to all event inquiries and follow up to close sales.

  • Conduct site tours, tastings, and client meetings to showcase the venue and its offerings.

  • Create customized proposals, menus, and contracts that meet client needs and maximize profitability.

  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals for event revenue.

Event Coordination & Execution
  • Work closely with the culinary, beverage, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.

  • Oversee event details from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.

  • Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Attend and supervise events as needed to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to brand standards.

  • Handle any onsite event adjustments or guest concerns with professionalism and poise.

Administrative & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM or event management system.

  • Track event deposits, payments, and billing in coordination with accounting.

  • Generate post-event reports and client feedback summaries.

  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and provide regular updates on event pipeline and performance metrics.

Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of event sales experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM/event management platforms (e.g., Tripleseat, Caterease, SevenRooms).

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedule.
