About the Role
The EXCELerator is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Assistant to provide evening support for our student success center. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors. If you enjoy helping others, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, we'd love to have you on our team.
This is a part-time 16 hours per week schedule: Monday–Thursday, from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome students, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member.Schedule academic and career coaching appointments.Maintain accurate records, assist with data entry, and generate reports as needed.Manage office supplies and help keep the front desk area organized.Prepare spaces for classroom visits and guide visitors to their destinations.Provide administrative support for staff and assist with event coordination.
 
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.Previous customer service or administrative experience preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software systems.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a busy environment.Friendly, patient, and student-focused attitude.
