Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Food Expediter to join our fast-paced culinary team. Our restaurant serves over 300 guests per night, demanding exceptional coordination, communication, and focus. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure environment, ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen accurately plated, timed, and meeting our high standards of presentation and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, maintaining smooth and efficient service flow during high-volume shifts.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all food orders; verify tickets, coordinate timing across stations, and prioritize orders for seamless execution.

  • Inspect each plate for presentation, portion, temperature, and quality before it leaves the pass.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with chefs, line cooks, servers, and support staff to manage pacing and resolve issues quickly.

  • Maintain organization of the expo line, ensuring garnishes, plates, and order tickets are handled efficiently.

  • Assist in training new staff on expo procedures, plating standards, and kitchen communication.

  • Support overall kitchen cleanliness, safety, and efficiency during peak service hours.
