Job Description

The CNC Machinist & Programmer will have a minimum of 4 or more years of experience in CNC machine setup, programming, and operation. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, with proficiency reading blueprints is essential for this position. The items to be machined consist of a variety of aluminum and steel plates along with various machine frame weldments. Experience with G-code preferred. This position will report directly to the Shop Supervisor.

 Job Responsibilities - CNC Machinist & Programmer

• Interpret drawings to determine dimensional criteria, tolerances, geometric dimensioning 
• Perform set-ups and programming for CNC operation 
• Program machine for operation
• CNC machining of parts on Haas Vertical Mill and/or MultiCam Router
• Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation
• Maintain tooling for the machine as needed
• Operate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need be
• Provided strong customer support on a as need basis
• Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Industrial Profile Systems
• Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.

 Desired Skills & Experience - CNC Machinist & Programmer

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3-5 years of CNC machining experience
• Knowledge and/or experience with Haas controls 
• Knowledge and/or experience with CAD/CAM Software is a plus but not required
• Knowledge and experience with G-code preferred
• Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Intermediate math skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Well organized with an aptitude for details and precision machining
• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance
• Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments
