The HR Generalist supports the alignment of business objectives with employees and management within designated business units at Stord. This role will assist in delivering HR services that reflect the company’s goals while gaining exposure to various HR functions and building strong working relationships with Operations Leadership. The HR Generalist will develop an understanding of the business unit's operations and support HR initiatives to improve employee engagement, productivity, and overall organizational effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts regular check-ins with assigned business units to understand their needs and provide basic HR support.
Partners with line management to provide training and support on HR policies and procedures.
Assists in analyzing HR metrics and trends to support the development of solutions, programs, and policies.
Supports the resolution of employee relations issues by participating in investigations and providing documentation.
Keeps up to date on legal requirements related to HR functions to ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining records in accordance with state and federal laws.
Provides initial performance management guidance to managers, including assistance with coaching, counseling, and career development.
Collaborates with management and employees to foster positive work relationships and improve employee morale.
Assists in interpreting HR policies and providing guidance to employees and managers.
Supports the drafting of contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers under the guidance of senior HRBP staff.
Participates in workforce planning discussions and helps identify training needs for business units.
Assists in the evaluation of training programs to ensure they meet the needs of the business units.
Performs other related duties as assigned by senior HR team members.

Competency:

Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal and CS skills.
Strong organizational Skills
Good understanding of organizational structure and HR Practices
Strong working knowledge of Workday (or willingness to learn in first 30days)
Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite.
