Experienced HVAC Technician at Rabe Hardware

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated HVAC Technician to join our team. This position involves working on a wide range of residential and commercial HVAC projects — including service, repair, and installation work. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in craftsmanship, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service.

HVAC Service Technician should have a basic understanding of the following Heating, Cooling, Ventilation skills:

• Preventative Maintenance
• Repairing Systems
• Sequence of Operation
• Control System/Electrical Troubleshooting
• Commisioning New Systems

Type of Systems:

• Furnace / Air Handler & AC / Heat Pump
• Mini-Split
• Boiler
• Geothermal Systems

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance of heating & cooling systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Troubleshooting sequence of operation and repairing some or any of the following systems: furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, mini-splits, boilers & geothermal systems.
• Ensure all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
• Maintain accurate job records and communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Valid Iowa HVAC License/Certifications
• 5+ years of experience working in the HVAC field
• Proven experience in residential and/or commercial HVAC service and installation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
