Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older Location: Rochester, NY Address: 1500 Brooks Ave Pay: $23.21 - $23.81 / hour Job Posting: 11/13/2025 Job Posting End: 11/27/2025 Job ID:R0265331 A mechanical porter in our manufacturing facility supports maintenance and production teams by ensuring equipment, tools, and workspaces are organized, operational, and safe. This role blends basic mechanical knowledge with logistical and housekeeping responsibilities to keep operations running smoothly! What You’ll Do Clean and sanitize industrial production equipment, floors and machinery, including pressure cleaning and chemical dispensing equipment Clean the following equipment: mixers, conveyers, ovens, floors, tables, chairs, drains, waste bins, catch pans, etc. Use hand tools to disassemble and reassemble complex equipment to remove all remnants of product in the machinery Maintain records and sanitation cleaning logs, as required Properly label all containers, carts and complete batch card tasks to communicate completed tasks Practice food safety and human safety techniques while complying with equipment maintenance Communicate potential issues, concerns and risks with management and coworkers Adhere to written procedures and follow all safety protocols related to cleaning tasks and equipment Required Qualifications: Ability to receive direction and work independently Ability to disassemble and reassemble production equipment Preferred Qualifications: Maintenance and/or custodial experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment Experience with various hand tools Your health and safety are our top priority!
