Job Description
The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time or substitute basis in the Forest Technology program.
Location: Allenwood, Pennsylvania (ESC)
QualificationsEDUCATION
- Associate's Degree in Forestry related discipline, OR, equivalent combination of education and experience. Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or closely related discipline. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years industry experience. Required
- Relevant secondary or postsecondary school teaching experience. Preferred
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required
- Developed organizational skills. Required
- Possession of a valid driver's license. Required
Responsibilities
- Instruct and evaluate students in one or more of the courses offered in the Forest Technology program, including but not limited to: chainsaw safety, forest mensuration, dendrology, wood products, silviculture, wildlife management, wildland firefighting, pest management, and/or timber operations.
- Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
- Attend department meetings as requested.
- Complete official student rosters and return to School office as required.
