Family Lawyer at Foster Law Firm

Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. $75,000 - $100,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
• Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
• Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
• Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
• Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases

Qualifications:

• Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required
• Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred
• Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
• Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
• Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
