Family Medicine physician employment in Alaska : Seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician for a faculty position in a large, innovative family medicine residency program. The Alaska Family Medicine Residency (AKFMR) offers a rigorous curriculum to prepare residents for full-scope Family Medicine, with an emphasis on rural and underserved communities. Most training occurs in Anchorage, Alaska caring for a diverse, underserved urban population. The patients in clinic speak>90 languages. All residents spend time in remote rural Alaska, working in small communities off the road system. The program's graduates currently work in all settings including outpatient, ER, OB, inpatient adult D.O. candidates with an interest in OMT - a plus Prior teaching/precepting experience preferred; recent graduates will also be considered Full-spectrum Family Medicine preferred, however not required Where Youll Work Providence Medical Group - Alaska is a multi-specialty group with 70 physicians and advanced-practice clinicians serving greater Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.
