Overview
The Field Sales & Service Representative (FSSR) is a hybrid customer-facing and field-facing role responsible for selling turnkey roofing and siding projects while managing onsite scheduling, workflow coordination, and project supervision. The FSSR ensures that every job sold is executed properly, efficiently, and in alignment with ProBLDs service and quality expectations. This role supports local and production builder accounts and acts as the primary operational liaison between sales, field crews, and the builders site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sell turnkey roofing, siding, and exterior packages to semi-custom and local builders.
Serve as the onsite supervisor for all jobs sold by the FSSR, ensuring proper installation.
Create and manage job schedules, coordinating directly with operations and builders.
Conduct pre-construction meetings, jobsite walkthroughs, and quality inspections.
Identify scope discrepancies and correct issues in real time to protect job profitability.
Coordinate materials delivery, installation sequencing, and inspection readiness.
Support takeoffs, pricing validation, and final scope review with Estimating.
Communicate daily with builder superintendents to align expectations and timelines.
Report field progress, delays, or issues promptly to Operations and Sales leadership.
Maintain updated job documentation, including photos, site notes, and completion records.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Operations to hand off jobs sold and maintain customer satisfaction.
Partner with Operations to ensure workforce, materials, and schedules are aligned.
Serve as the primary field contact for customers during active construction phases.
Provide daily updates through CRM and job management tools.
Participate in weekly field coordination meetings and project reviews.
Reporting & Forecasting
Track daily job progress and communicate delays or changes immediately.
Maintain CRM accuracy for all active and upcoming jobs.
Submit weekly status updates, including job counts, completions, and pending items.
Assist Sales and Operations leadership with forecasting installation volume and labor needs.
Qualifications
13+ years of experience in roofing, siding, construction management, or project coordination preferred.
Strong understanding of exterior construction workflow and building inspections.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable managing multiple active job sites at once.
Ability to travel frequently between job sites.
Preferred Background
Experience in roofing or siding installation, field supervision, or builder site management.
Prior experience selling or coordinating turnkey projects.
Proficiency with CRM or project management tools (Buildertrend, Procore, etc.).
Performance Metrics
Number of turnkey jobs sold and completed.
Field execution quality (rework percentage, inspection pass rate).
On-time completion rate.
Customer satisfaction and builder superintendent feedback.
Accuracy of scheduling, documentation, and communication.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $50,000 annually
Commission: Percentage of top line revenue
Earning Potential: $90,000$150,000+ annually.
Travel Requirement: Daily statewide travel between jobsites and builder offices.
