Field Service Engineer II

Estimated annual base pay: $65,000 (minimum) - $85,000 (midpoint) - $104,000 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Field Service Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position involves installing, repairing, and modifying Woodward control systems (hardware and software) for application in Steam and Gas Turbines - Power Generation and Mechanical Drive, such as Gas compressors. The successful candidate will need to work independently at the customer's location with little or no support or supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Field Service Operations: Conduct onsite installations, maintenance, and repairs of equipment. Use Woodward hardware and software to analyze malfunctions, configure systems, tune/adjust dynamics, and make minor software modifications.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Technical Issues: Analyze and solve moderately complex problems by evaluating multiple factors. Apply technical expertise in electrical and/or mechanical systems while using standard test instruments and hand tools.
  • Maintain Customer Relationships: Build and sustain productive working relationships with customers to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide Team Support: Offer informal guidance and support to new team members, enhancing team performance and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to company policies and procedures while accurately documenting service activities and technical solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Control and Instrumentation experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Gas and/or Steam turbine control systems is a plus.
  • The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve work efficiency.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering (BA/BS) is required. Alternatively, an associate's degree in a technical field, along with an additional 2+ years of experience in a relevant field, is acceptable.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 1 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • This position requires up to 70% travel, both domestically and internationally.
