LHH is partnering with our Richmond manufacturing client in their search for a qualified Plant Controller to add to their growing team. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, with a dotted line to the VP of Finance, this position plays an integral role by providing financial leadership and analysis to the plant management team. The Finance Business Partner is responsible for leading financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving operational efficiency through financial insight and partnership. Job Description
- Responsible for financial leadership in a plant. The position’s functional responsibility influences Manufacturing, QA, Technical Services and Materials Management through budget decisions, financial training, financial recommendations, and general business guidance.
- The position is supporting the Corporate Controller with local government, internal/external auditors, local counsel, certain suppliers and certain regulatory bodies (tax, customs)
- Interacts with the GM and the local plant leaders along with corporate leadership through presentations of financial plans/analyses/strategies and is responsible for representing the plant in these discussions.
- In conjunction with the Plant Managers, sets the appropriate financial direction ensuring the proper reflection of financial results and forecasts.
- Coordinate, consolidate and generally manage the development of plans for the plant including standard cost setting, inventory control and capital budgets.
- Accountable for gathering, analyzing and interpreting of accounting and financial data for the preparation and presentation of meaningful reports, and recommendations to both Plant and Division Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred)
- Manufacturing experience, standard costing, inventory controls (required)
- Knowledge of a modern fully integrated ERP system like Oracle, SAP or NetSuite
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP
