CV Resources is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit experiencing strong and steady growth in the Willamette Valley to identify their next Finance Director. This organization is deeply rooted in community impact and is seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.
As the Finance Director, you will report directly to the Executive Director and oversee all financial operations of the organization. You’ll lead a dedicated accounting team of approximately five staff members and be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This is a fully onsite role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to an organization doing important work in the region.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of 5 accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate financial operations
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning in partnership with executive leadership
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and produce internal and external financial reports
Serve as the main liaison with external auditors and ensure audit readiness and compliance
Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial policies
Utilize BlackBaud Financial Edge to manage and report on financial data
Provide strategic financial guidance to support programmatic growth and sustainability
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
7+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in a nonprofit setting
Strong familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles and fund accounting
Proficiency with BlackBaud Financial Edge or similar accounting systems
Proven leadership and team management experience
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Salary range: $125,000 – $140,000, depending on experience
