CV Resources is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit experiencing strong and steady growth in the Willamette Valley to identify their next Finance Director. This organization is deeply rooted in community impact and is seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.

As the Finance Director, you will report directly to the Executive Director and oversee all financial operations of the organization. You’ll lead a dedicated accounting team of approximately five staff members and be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This is a fully onsite role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to an organization doing important work in the region.

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate financial operations

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning in partnership with executive leadership

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and produce internal and external financial reports

• Serve as the main liaison with external auditors and ensure audit readiness and compliance

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial policies

• Utilize BlackBaud Financial Edge to manage and report on financial data

• Provide strategic financial guidance to support programmatic growth and sustainability

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)

• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in a nonprofit setting

• Strong familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles and fund accounting

• Proficiency with BlackBaud Financial Edge or similar accounting systems

• Proven leadership and team management experience

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Salary range: $125,000 – $140,000, depending on experience
