Job Description
Responsible for marketing and explaining the Investment Services to customers. He/She will position themselves as a “needs based” Financial Advisor for all securities-related products and services offered by Cetera Investment Services. They will transmit orders on behalf of customers, relaying data, and investment advice to customers. The person in this role will actively support the institution’s total marketing concept.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Explain and sell Cetera products and services to customers specifically concerning various types of investments, what they mean, etc. In carrying this out, the Financial Advisor needs to understand and be able to explain the Wealth Management philosophy.
2. Interview and Counsel and counsel the customers to obtain information (financial background, investment goals, risk tolerance, etc.) needed in order to develop a customer-needs profile and then be able to define an appropriate investment strategy for each customer.
3. Open customer accounts and initiate and confirm customer orders.
4. Acknowledge all customers in a warm and friendly manner and be receptive to their needs. He/She will promote to all customers the programs and services of the Cetera Investment Services and endeavor to further the financial institution’s reputation for friendly, efficient, personal service.
5. Maintain customer files.
6. Handle personally all inquiries and questions on customer accounts.
7. Remain informed regarding changes in Cetera’s services, policies, and procedures.
8. Maintain the Investment Service’s display areas and organize customer public relations within the financial institution’s branch location.
9. Oversee and care for all information related to customer accounts and affairs of the institution in strictest confidence and take the necessary actions to safeguard the assets of the institution and its customers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· A college degree or equivalent business experience is required. (Appropriate experience may substitute for education).
· Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and State Insurance License. Previous brokerage experience is preferred.
· Customer relations/sales experience (two to three years) is required.
· Actual business experience is required.
· Experience in dealing with high or ultra-high net worth clients is strongly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS and KEY ATTRIBUTES
· Must be effective in client relationship and business development.
· Able to assist in investment research, help explore the client’s investing and economic history of the client, investigate client’s financial goals and risk tolerance.
· Possess exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, proactive, analytical, show empathy, and require minimal supervision.
· Must be flexible to travel and meet clients as required.
· Highly enthusiastic about market and financial trends and the value add of the TrustBank approach to investing.
· Ability to learn fast and retain the detailed requirements of the position is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is Monday through Friday, typically from 8 AM – 5 PM and is forty hours a week. Additional hour may be required as needed. The position is hybrid based out 212 S. West St. Wheaton, IL The position requires long periods of sitting in front of a computer. Noise level is moderate, and the office is well lit. Some work may be repetitive at the computer and the position requires direct work with the public. The duties of the job may require the employee to stand, walk, use hands, and feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands, arms, and talk, or hear. Ability to lift 25-pounds. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Some work may be repetitive at the computer and the position requires direct work with the public.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000 - $105,000, along with the eligibility for commission earnings and a discretionary annual bonus. REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES
· Knowledge of investment and portfolio investment strategies, prudent investor rules, risk management, accounting and financial principles, associated investment strategies and instruments.
· Must have knowledge around the characteristics of various marketplaces, usually acquired through formal education and work experience, is required to evaluate client’s needs and portfolios.
· Knowledge of investment terminology, the laws and regulations governing trust investments and taxation, as well as the bank's investment policies, procedures, and strategies, usually acquired through work experience and formal education, is required to operate within the framework of trust documents for certain client accounts.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to utilize Microsoft 365, Excel for data analysis and report preparation. Knowledge of the Bloomberg system, Advantage and Investors view trust and investment platform is preferable.
