Fire Alarm Project Manager/ Division Manager – Chicago, IL

Join a growing employee-owned (ESOP) fire alarm company seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager/ Division Manager to oversee projects from design coordination through installation.


  • Manage fire alarm projects for multi-family, commercial, and industrial clients.
  • Review plans, specs, and submittals for compliance with NFPA 72 and Chicago codes.
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and materials to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Act as the main client contact, maintaining professional relationships with GCs and AHJs.
  • Track project costs, manage RFIs and change orders, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and enforce safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of fire alarm project management experience (multi-family/commercial preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, UL, and local Chicago codes.
  • NICET Level II or higher preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, or project management software.
