JOB SUMMARY:The Contract Sales Representative will be responsible estimating and selling project related fire protection sprinkler systems within the Western MA & Northern CT geographical markets. This position nurtures project leads from the estimate/budget phase to sales close with existing and new general contractor, owner, and developer partners. This position reports directly to the District Sales Manager and will utilize standard estimating tools to provide accurate project proposals and fire protection scope.
Effective project handoffs to the design and operations team are required. Pipeline management skills, sales budgeting, and effective internal and external communications are integral with this role.Requirements: Five years plus experience in the fire protection industry – field, estimating, or design.Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codesHave the ability to write strong and concise fire protection scopes for a wide variety of project applicationsFire sprinkler system estimating skills utilizing company programs and toolsViable local relationships with General Contractors – MA, RI, and CT basedStrong prospecting and negotiation skills with respect to fire protection systemsProven ability to close fire sprinkler contractsExcellent communication and inter-personal skills working in a team environment.Travel within the territory is requiredPossess a valid driver’s licenseResponsibilities:Establish contact with prospective and qualified potential buyers of new installations, system modifications and upgrades by scheduling sales calls, managing existing relationships, and following up on leads.Contact prospective customers of new commercial fire sprinkler systems.Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and communicate effectively system requirements to the clientDevelop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support an established sales goalDevelop and maintain new and existing customer relationships to ensure our services exceed client expectations.Support other Impact Fire team members in the company initiatives of cross selling inspectional services, fire alarm and extinguishersMeet the sales objectives of the annual business plan.
