Position Summary: FleetManager

The Fleet Manager is acritical leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight,planning, and management of all Leaf Home fleet operations toensure optimal vehicle utilization, safety compliance, andcost-effectiveness. The Fleet Manager will lead and mentor thefleet team while driving initiatives that enhance operationalefficiency and contribute to the organization’s overallsuccess.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and supervision of fleetstaff, including recruitment, training, performance management, andprofessional development to build a high-performingteam.
  • Develop, implement, and refine vehicleand equipment procurement and disposition strategies, aligning themwith organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate cross-functional trainingprograms for fleet operations, ensuring staff possess the requiredskills and knowledge to operate effectively and safely.
  • Oversee and manage the fleet inspection program, ensuringall drivers complete thorough inspections of vehicles andequipment. Drive compliance, maintain quality standards, andresolve issues identified during inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all current DOT regulations andindustry standards, establishing a culture of safety andaccountability.
  • Analyze, prepare, and presentfleet OKRs and performance reports to senior management, usinginsights to inform decision-making and improvements.
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedulesand fleet management practices using advanced fleet managementsoftware to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Drive cost optimization and efficiency initiatives withinfleet operations, including monitoring fuel usage, maintenancecosts, and fleet performance.
  • Leadcross-functional collaborations with other departments to ensurefleet operations support broader organizationalobjectives.
  • Represent fleet operations instrategic meetings, contributing insights on performance, budgets,and future initiatives.
  • Perform other dutiesas assigned by supervisor.

Experience and MinimumQualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination ofeducation, training, and experience
  • 5+ yearsof experience in the asset management field with at least 2+ in aleadership role
  • Expertise in creating,implementing, and refining fleet policies and procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accident reporting proceduresand crisis management strategies
  • Provenexperience in pricing, specifying, and negotiating vehiclepurchases/leases
  • Ability to analyze and tracktotal cost of ownership with strategies for costreduction
  • In-depth understanding of DOTregulations, compliance, and industry trends
  • Strong budgetary experience and negotiating skills forfleet expenditures
  • Ability to manage multiplepriorities and stakeholders effectively
  • Strongproblem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at alllevels
  • Service-oriented mindset withempathetic communication
  • Valid driver’slicense required
  • Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project,Access)
  • Must be legally authorized to work inthe country of employment without sponsorship

  • Experience in a large, fast-paced organization

TravelRequirements

  • Lessthan 10% domestic travel required
