DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Food Service Manager at Danville State Hospital, you will have a wide range of responsibilities. You will be involved in overseeing all catering functions, planning and directing specialized cooking operations, scheduling staff, ordering supplies, determining pricing requirements, and handling billing. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely ordering, receiving, and storage of food, supplies, and equipment according to established schedules. It will be your role to ensure that all aspects of food service at the hospital are running smoothly and efficiently.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This role requires schedule flexibility, with hours subject to weekly adjustment based on operational needs. Occasional weekend shifts are necessary for special catering events.
- Overtime as needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of supervisory experience involving the preparation of special diet menus in a school, hospital, nursing home or closely related institutional food service operation and a bachelor's degree with major coursework in foods, nutrition, dietetics, food service, institutional management or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of supervisory experience involving the preparation of special diet menus in a school, hospital, nursing home or closely related institutional food service operation.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
